Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
Manage all Public Works engineering, design, and project management functions. This includes construction, project management, inspection, procurement, and master planning functions. The Division includes staff with diverse experience in master planning, value engineering, civil engineering, process engineering, landscape architecture, project management, construction procurement and coordination, Public Works inspection and asset management.
Construction Services
Responsible for contract administration, construction management, surveying, inspection, labor compliance and customer service for Public Works Construction projects.
Design Services
Provides civil, mechanical, electrical and architectural engineering as well as surveying for Public Works construction projects including street, storm drain, water, sewer, building, park and street landscape projects. The section also prepares and updates City standards for construction and conducts studies for master plans, development studies and engineer reports.
Master Planning
We manage assets, oversee the pavement management system, hydraulic modeling, wastewater collection modeling, recycled and potable water modeling, and flood control management. We are responsible for developing and updating all Public Works Department master plans and asset management plans, as well as the 5 year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) plan.
